Everyday a stone in my pocket

Finding the joy in everyday life

Day1 1/2/24

I am challenging myself everyday to find beauty and share it in this blog.

My favourite memories of my mother are our time spent beach combing. She taught me ‘to observe closely’ when we walked the beach. We would discover perfectly smooth, round black stones, a bent branch, a piece of coral, a strand of rope, a piece of sea glass, a green-patina penny. I loved these walks. Many books on my shelves have become leaf presses. Everyday a stone in the pocket. Rediscovering them brings such joy.
