Everyday a stone in my pocket.
Finding the joy in everyday. This morning I was met by a beautiful blue sky with cloud streamers on my way to the Breakwater for my daily swim in the Salish Sea. Our light is quickly returning earlier and earlier. I am no longer driving in the dark. The mountain peaks were outlined in pink…

Everyday a stone in my pocket.
Finding the joy in everyday. I am noticing that the grey mornings are never the same at the Breakwater. This morning the Olympic Mountains were visible: snow capped, charcoal edged, low fog patches. Stunning. We were joined by a sea lion this morning. We quickly moved closer to the shoreline. Wide-eyed, anticipating another sighting. The…

Finding the joy in everyday. A brilliant orange sunrise this morning at Cook and Dallas; and yet the Breakwater was surrounded in foggy grey with a light sprinkle of rain. Our dip was lovingly met with song, sighs and laughter. What a great way to start my morning! I’m all smiles.

Everyday a stone in my pocket.
Finding the joy in everyday. Today we celebrated a birthday down at the Breakwater. There was banana bread, hot chocolate and singing; a big group today of 25 swimmers. Much merriment and pure joy of friends being together dipping in the Salish Sea. And did I mention, the frost was thick on the logs with…

Everyday a stone in my pocket.
Finding the joy in everyday. Every morning after my swim I sit with a hot milk chai and my cats, Pablo, and sometime, Jane, in front of the fireplace. Pur-fect! This is 100% total contentment. Life is good, and all the noise of the world dissolves momentarily, as I sip my chai, pet my cats,…
