At the Breakwater this morning we were met by three swimming otters. One of the otters was very small. We kept our distance. Mothers are very protective of their young.

In honour of the otters we practiced our otter swim on our backs. Good fun. Water temp today was 7.5 degrees C; outside temp a balmy 4 degrees C. No frost. Success today I actually got the zippers done on my boots. Last week my hands or should say thumbs were too cold and refused to work. I’ve just ordered hand warmers. My kit keeps expanding.
