A hard rain early this morning as I head down to the Breakwater. Only a few hardy souls dipping today. Two newbies; one from Ottawa and the other a local ready to give it a try.

It is warmer outside; 8 degrees Celsius, mild for January. This makes it so much easier to dress afterwards and to do up my boots. Two weeks ago, I had to walk to the car in my socks, as I could not manage getting my boots on. My hands were stiff from cold. I now put little hand warmers in my pockets! It works.
