Everyday a stone in my pocket.

Finding the joy in every day. 6/10/24

A happy boy!

This dog has found the joy in cold water swimming in the Salish Sea. For many dogs it is in their essential nature; our dog Maggie May, a spaniel, did not like water and would avoid putting her feet in it; she hated bathing and always panicked when we gave her a bath. I’ve had cats that liked water more than Maggie. It just shows how individual animals and humans are in their preferences. Maggie May loved snow and would run and slide in it; burrow and tunnel in it; jump and catch snow flakes. She was a timid girl and we loved sharing our life with her. She loved her walks and took it as her personal responsibility to walk my partner twice a day! Here’s to all the animals that bring us so much joy everyday. Leave a comment and subscribe.

Critters do add much to our lives, sometimes there is annoyance or frustration at their behaviour, but most of all there is joy and pleasure in their company and friendship, their letting us be their people.
