Everyday a stone in my pocket.

Finding joy every day. 5/23/24

When I was a kid, I loved finding these dandelion seed pods. They were magical in their symmetry. I would blow on them; make a wish; and wait for it to come true.

The wish of a child is something to behold; my wishes always came true: a chocolate ice-cream cone, an Archie comic book, a Bobsey twin novel, a grape sofa, a slice of rhubarb pie.

Life was definitely much simpler then. Now I wish for vacuum cleaners that work; eight hour sleeps; and friends good health; although a piece of rhubarb pie still makes me smile!
