Everyday a stone in my pocket.

Finding the joy in every day. 4/29/24

Seed pod. Beach find.

I found this on the beach and was taken with how it had dried to perfection. I have used it to make stencils. Interesting how it has stayed in- tact with the sun, salt and water pounding on its shell. Quite literally, pickled!

Interesting how these elements, sun, salt, and water are used by artists to create many different mediums. Common elements. Free. But in the hands of different artists they become new and individual. I love that about artmaking.

Joy is in the creative act of art making with the tools we discover and use as a language unique to ourselves.

What found tools have you discovered to use in your art making? What joy have you discovered with that first patterned print? Please leave a comment and subscribe.

It really is….from a piece of corn on the cob to a tool.
