Finding the joy in every day. 4/28/24

I’m loving this Selkie sculpture of stone. There is something that resonates with me about the story of the Selkie. The ease of transforming from human to seal is very appealing. Shapeshifter. Transformation. Mystical.
I’ve been thinking about this myth for the last few weeks as Emerson, the sea lion, moults his skin on a Victorian beach.
The sea transforms us; calls to us; and marries us to our origins. When you remember your original roots, it’s like a strange dream. So familiar, and yet, not of this world. This is the joy of dreamland; to be transformed. What dreams bring you peace? Leave a message and subscribe.
