Everyday a stone in my pocket

Finding the joy in every day. 4/25/24

Today, a fine drizzle of liquid sun. We have been promised five days of rain; I am happy to see the trees eagerly drink, replenishing their limbs and roots. We need many more days like this. We need to fill their reservoirs and ours.

They are our ancestors and we need to be attentive to their health. Since time immemorial they have given us shelter, food, clothing and yes, joy. The joy of their shade; the joy of their musical limbs; the joy of their fruit; the joy of their beauty; the joy of their intelligence and communities.
