Today the promised rain is here. I am watching the birds drink the water drops from the Maple tree branches. The hummingbirds, particularly, enjoy those little teardrops. The chickadees like bathing in the raindrops and puddles.
In Powell River our house had a metal roof; it became the home’s musical instrument. Today, the ‘tap, tap, tap’ sound is soothing and reassuring; we will have enough rain to water the thirsty plants, birds and animals…at least today.
