Finding the joy in everyday.
3/18/24

My mom had heart surgery twice and my dad once and he died of a heart attack. I have carried stories of the heart like a vessel made of glass, fragile and yet, resilient. And today, I carried them in my pocket, safe and snug, wrapped in the stories of my friend who now faces recovery from heart surgery.
Since the news of her surgery, I have collected heart rocks on the beach. My intention is to give them to her when she is able to walk around the block and ride her bike. Everyday a heart for her.
