Everyday a stone in my pocket

Finding the joy in everyday.

Day 23 2?23/24

When I smell cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg I remember the smell of Tootie’s pantry. She baked Hermit cookies. Her home welcomed you with this wonderful mix of spices, lemon oil and oak floor wax.

Today, I was parked in front of a bakery; I could smell the bread and cinnamon buns wafting in the air. I love how that smell is directly connected to a memory of eating hermit cookies as a child.

Instant joy brought to you by your olfactory glands. What smells do you remember from your childhood? Leave a comment please.
